Nice to have four men for a job, but I'm glad I'm not paying their combined wages. This may be the way things are done today, but it certainly was not the way things were done in the 19th century. The well known double spiral staircase of Santa Fe, New Mexico, was built entirely by one man (and it wasn't St Joseph). The bannister likewise, was the work of a single craftsman.

In the UK the column fixing is designed with a corrugated tube spaced around the threaded bar, this allows some movement for this exact situation and is ok because the fixing only requires vertical pressure from the plate to the concrete to resist horizontal movement. obviously, your threaded bar needs to be suitably anchored within the concrete itself at the base.

Just rip all the concrete out and start over and use the template i provided in the link below. Thank you.

A jig to set the bolts into the cement works really well for this. A very simple jig can eliminate these problems. Won’t help with this build, but for future builds it can make installation of beams much easier. I saw it used on a building I helped erect many years ago. The builder was a real pro at keeping things simple and making it as easy as possible. Every beam went on first try, steal worker tips for $10 Alex.

Soooo why dont you just drill the hole pattern in a board. And use it to hold your bolts in place while the cement cures?

Next time use a piece of wood to keep the bolt from moving drill 4 holes through the board point bolts through then nuts let dry

Or just install the anchors correct and straight next time.

Just bring a good drill bit, oversize your holes, and use washers and spring washers

If you were a real steal builder you would have had a torch there from day one.

Next time try a piece of pipe to bend those anchor bolts straight
